Our new brand image

As a child passes through various phases between birth and adolescence so does a company. Through its development 4Ward grew and with it grew our knowledge and expertise. During the past 4 years our brand image also evolved in the effort to follow the growth and communicate our working philosophy.

As a freelance endeavor/startup 4Ward had its first steps in the web design industry in 2002. It first operations model was based on the creative boutique model.

The first 4Ward logo included a D-like arrow with a dot in the middle. Corporate colors were black and magenta.

4Ward

In 2005 4Ward was officially registered as a company in the Macedonian Central Register. Now that 4Ward is officially entering the industry market it had to have a … So, being the visionaries that we were (and still are) and thinking ahead of time… wait, thinking!? Thinking it is! It seemed appropriate – looked good with the logotype and conveyed our philosophy to think ahead of the market and our clients. The “updated” logo was born:

4Ward

This was not exactly a new logo, but an extended version of the first, including the slogan. Our overall brand identity was still shaky and still looking to find itself.

As we grew bigger and acquired more customers we felt the need to communicate our creativeness on the rise and spread the word trough a consistent looking array of branding materials. To do this we needed a logo that will allow us to “let go” and design the way we felt – creative and different. And the 2nd 4Ward logo was born in 2007:

4Ward

Company colors remained the same but with an accent on the magenta vs. black to emphasize positive feelings and lighten the designs. This logo allowed us to create modern looking, fresh and eye catchy designs for all our branding materials. At this time we weren’t exactly thinking about brand strategy and following the attributes of a great mark. We just wanted to look good and express ourselves.

Since then 4Ward has evolved from a creative boutique to a highly professional company with 15 employees and formidable local and international client base. We had our first product (eazyio CMS) and we recognized the need to build and maintain a brand strategy. We wanted our brand to send a message to our customers that we provide professional services. We needed a mark that would be distinctive; practical; communicate graphically; simple in form; convey a single message; appropriate (Spaeth, Toni.” The Six Universal Attributes Of a Great Mark”. IDENTITYWORKS.com; http://www.identityworks.com/issues/issues1.htm). As a result our new logo was born:

4Ward

We have created this new brand image to support our global business strategy of demonstrating real leadership within our profession and becoming a more cohesive organization.

We hope you will see many positive changes from 4Ward starting with our new brand identity…
